BR 2-13: Monkey Party (Waring Rob, 2008)



"They have a banquet with lots of food-for the monkeys!" (p.7.).

Most people have seen monkeys at zoo. When people see monkeys at zoo, they are always enjoying to see them. On the other hand, when some monkeys found in a residential street, people hate them and suffering from the behave of monkeys. In Japan, most monkeys caught by local government officials and police officers in city, the monkeys are always culled by officials. One of people think this is a natural things, but other people think this is so cruel thing for monkeys. Of cause, returning to nature them is a one of the way to solve this case, however if we released monkeys after we caught, would they cause more serious problems next time? A lot of people discussing this case and the discussion becoming more complex.

However, if wonder whether the city which friendly to monkeys? Actually, that city actually exist. This book introduce about this city and monkeys which living in that city. That city's name is Lopburi. There are a large army of monkeys in that city and causing many proble
ms. However, people don't care about them. In addition, they hold monkey party every year and make many treats for monkeys! Actually, people who living in that city believe the legend of monkey, so they respect monkeys. Of cause, this is a part of religion, but maybe they don't care about this reason. They loving monkeys, so treating an honest guest with monkeys is so natural thing for them.
